The Artist

Hi! My name is Lindsey. I’m an artist out of Milwaukee, WI, originally from Roseville MI, and this site is filled with my work. I’m a fantasy nerd whos been awestruck by the natural world since I was a kid, and I've likewise become fascinated by the psychology of the human mind - why we are the way we are, how we got there, and how we can learn to grow again after sinking into the shadowy inner landscapes of poor mental health.

Where these three themes - fantasy, nature, and mental health - intersect and swirl around each other is where I find the most meaning in making. I like to find threads of connection between them. There’s something so impactful about giving inner negative experiences a name, especially those which are battled long term. Using metaphor and sensory symbolism gleaned from nature’s real life processes, and with endless inspiration from the mythologies and fantastical creations of our culture, I love to give those inner monsters not just a name but a face, with a story of their own; to make something beautiful out of suffering, and to hint at the next right path towards healing.

Aside from my personal work where I do most of this exploration, I’m just a lil goofy nerd who loves to create creatures and characters and frolic in the woods. I am an avid D&D player and I take part in an online campaign with a group of my friends called Dorks in Danger, which I love to illustrate as we go along. When I’m able to, I also love to travel to different parts of the world and explore the natural landscapes I am so enamored with, all the while doing what I can to specifically help support conservationists and their efforts to protect these places and the animals who live there.

I attend conventions and art shows across the country where I sell my work in various forms and where I am blessed to meet so many wonderful people. I take on personal commission work, often working from various local coffee shops, as well as commercial illustration work such as from companies like Blizzard and Hit Point Press, and I’m hoping to soon add more to that list! As far as commissions from individuals go, taking on TTRPG character commissions for folks is a personal favorite!
